Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is certain to shuffle his pack with qualification to the Champions League knockout stages already assured, with a handful of senior players left back at Old Trafford.

Anders Lindegaard does travel, and will hope to keep his place in goal after Saturday’s 1-0 Premier League defeat at Norwich.

With Patrice Evra, Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans all out of action, squad players are likely to get their chance, with Phil Jones returning from injury to start at centre back.

Alex Buttner is the obvious choice at left-back, whilst Rafael and Michael Carrick are likely to take the other defensive positions for the Red Devils. Scott Wootton could play instead if Ferguson wants to gamble on youth in Turkey.

In midfield, Darren Fletcher is expected to captain the side, with Anderson and Tom Cleverley working off the Scottish international.

That leaves Ashley Young and Danny Welbeck to fill the wide positions in an attacking 4-3-3- formation, with Javier Hernandez leading the line in the absence of Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney for Manchester United.

Manchester United predicted line-up v Galatasaray:

Anders Lindegaard; Rafael, Phil Jones, Michael Carrick, Alex Buttner; Anderson, Darren Fletcher, Tom Cleverley; Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez, Ashley Young.
