Manchester City’s trip to Newcastle is the opening fixture of this weekend’s actions, and it promises to be a good one with the Premier League champions coming off the back of a derby defeat to United.

The Toon also lost – away at Fulham - and Alan Pardew’s side will be looking to make a quick improvement.

Liverpool meet Aston Villa at Anfield, whilst Manchester United host Sunderland in the pick of the 3 o’clock kick-offs, whilst in-form Stoke host Everton in another intriguing clash.

At the bottom of the table, QPR are still looking for their first win of the season against Fulham, whilst Wigan make the trip to the impressive Norwich City.

On Sunday, Spurs host Swansea in the early kick-off, before West Ham United get the chance to impress in-front of the television cameras once again.

Monday night football promises to cap-off proceedings perfectly, with Reading hosting Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal in a repeat of their enthralling League Cup clash earlier on this season.
