Leading football finance experts Deloitte are confident the Premier League´s new overseas owners will have a positive impact on the game in this country.

Ten of the top flight´s 20 teams, including Niall Quinn´s Irish consortium at Sunderland, are under non-English control, with some pundits claiming the explosion of foreign billionaires is ripping the soul out of the domestic game.

But Dan Jones, a partner in the Sports Business Group at Deloitte and co-author of the 17th annual review of football finance, feels the early signs are good. He said: "English clubs are the leaders across Europe and we do not share the concerns others have expressed about the new owners."
