Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hailed the heroics of hat-trick hero Emmanuel Adebayor - and then admitted he would have been happy had the striker scored half of this season´s goal tally.

The Togo international reached 30 for the campaign with three goals in a stunning second-half performance in tonight´s 6-2 victory over Derby at Pride Park - his second against the relegated Rams this term after netting the same number in September´s 5-0 win at The Emirates.

Asked if he expected the forward to reach the 30-goal barrier, Wenger replied: "No, but I feel in this team you can score goals."
