Parry pleas for ownership resolution

Football News
Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry does not believe the on-going uncertainty over the ownership of the club will see star players desert Anfield but he has called for a swift resolution to the issue.

George Gillett revealed in an interview on Friday that his relationship with co-owner Tom Hicks had long since broken down, and Parry admits that he sees no way in which they can carry on as a partnership.

"My plea is that something happens this week," he said. "There is a need for a degree of urgency but it is urgent to get it right, not urgent to come up with the wrong solution."
