Yakubu offside crucial - Moyes

Football News
Everton boss David Moyes pointed to Ayegbeni Yakubu´s disallowed ´goal´ as the reason the Toffees´ Champions League hopes took a dive in the 1-1 home draw with West Ham.

Everton were ahead with Yakubu´s 19th goal of the season when the big Nigerian guided what looked like a second past Robert Green. TV replays showed that Yakubu was onside when the ball was played through to him, and that the final touch came from West Ham midfielder Scott Parker.

Moyes said: "We would have been 2-0 ahead if that one had been allowed. It was not offside, that is clear, but it just wasn´t to be."
