Roy Keane is ready to go to war with Trinidad and Tobago after they called up Carlos Edwards for a friendly in Jamaica at the end of the month.

Sunderland winger Edwards is close to returning from the broken leg which has sidelined him since December. However, the 29-year-old´s injury plight has not prevented his country naming him in their squad for the March 27 friendly in Kingston, a game which also falls two days before his club´s crucial Barclays Premier League home clash with West Ham.

"I´m surprised Carlos has been called up," said Keane. "He´s played one, two games in the last seven, eight, nine months. Maybe I need to make a call to their manager. Maybe they´re not aware of that."
