McCombe helps Robins extend lead

Football News
Jamie McCombe continued his remarkable goalscoring run to help Bristol City extend their lead at the top of the Coca-Cola Championship following their 1-1 draw at Charlton.

Gary Johnson´s side fell behind to a goal from Darren Ambrose in the eighth minute at The Valley, where he coolly slotted the ball past Adriano Basso from 12 yards.

But centre-half McCombe - who had not scored all season until a fortnight ago - made it three goals in four games, rising unmarked to nod Lee Johnson´s corner past goalkeeper Nicky Weaver in the 62nd minute.
