Chelsea manager Avram Grant wants the club to appoint a director of football - the role he filled at Stamford Bridge before succeeding Jose Mourinho.

Grant left Portsmouth to become Chelsea´s director of football in July before taking over as manager two months later.

But Grant has no fears about a new man coming in. "It would be easier for me," he said in The People. "There are many things for a coach to do. The director can help him a lot. I know that from my time in that position at Portsmouth."
