Champions League-chasing Everton were left bitterly frustrated after being controversially denied a Barclays Premier League victory in a goalless draw at Blackburn.

Andrew Johnson saw what looked a legitimate strike ruled out for offside after receiving a clever pass from substitute Michael Vaughan.

Everton dominated for long periods and created several clear-cut chances, hitting the post through midfielder Manuel Fernandes.
