Blues on red alert for new faces

Birmingham co-owner David Sullivan admits he has "never worked so hard" to try to bring in new players with 20 possible deals under consideration.

Blues boss Alex McLeish has so far signed James McFadden from Everton and Hibernian´s David Murphy, while Mauro Zarate has joined on loan from Al Sadd for the rest of the season.

Sullivan has given McLeish his full backing to add further strength to his squad and said: "In the past couple of weeks I have never worked so hard to bring players into Birmingham City."
