Shearer: Toon don´t want me in charge

Alan Shearer has revealed Newcastle do not want him as their next manager.

Fans´ favourite Shearer wants to help revive his boyhood idols in any way he can and is willing to work with whoever is appointed as Sam Allardyce´s successor, but the club have made it clear they are seeking an seasoned campaigner.

Shearer told the Sun: "A couple of days after Sam Allardyce got the sack, I got a call from the club to say they were looking for an experienced manager, which ruled me out."
