Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez shrugged off the constant speculation over his future after seeing his side snatch a hard-fought draw at Middlesbrough.

The Spaniard went into the game after days of speculation that he could be replaced by Jurgen Klinsmann came to an end when the former Germany coach was appointed by Bayern Munich, and after Fernando Torres had blasted home a 71st-minute equaliser to drag the Reds back into the Barclays Premier League´s top four, Benitez insisted the only thing on his mind was the game.

Asked if the speculation had made life difficult for him, he said: "No, not really. I am trying to concentrate on the next game. You could see in the second half, we were changing things because we were just analysing the game. You must concentrate on games and not anything else because you cannot change those things."
