Derby boss Paul Jewell admits he was "devastated" to hear that his former player Phil O´Donnell had died after collapsing during Motherwell´s Clydesdale Bank Premier League match against Dundee United on Saturday.

The former Celtic and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder, who was 35, failed to recover from a suspected seizure.

Jewell told Sky Sports: "Like everybody else, I was absolutely devastated. I´d like to pass on my condolences to his family."
