Arsenal moved back to the top of the Barclays Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 win over London rivals Chelsea, who lost skipper John Terry with a suspected broken metatarsal at the Emirates Stadium.

Skipper William Gallas headed in the crucial goal in first-half stoppage-time against his old club following an error from goalkeeper Petr Cech at a corner.

Chelsea created several chances, but were unable to convert - with Shaun Wright-Phillips guilty of a terrible miss from only three yards out.
