Everton boss David Moyes hailed the goal-scoring instincts of hat-trick hero Aiyegbeni Yakubu as the Toffees made it 10 games unbeaten.

Yakubu scored all his goals in the second half at Goodison Park as Fulham were beaten 3-0. It took his tally to nine in 16 matches since his £11million move from Middlesbrough - and significantly he has hit eight in 10 Barclays Premier League starts.

Moyes said: "What we have wanted from him is what he has given his other clubs, Portsmouth and Middlesbrough. He has scored goals - and he has an excellent record at that. We obviously want the other part of his game, hard work, but the goals are what we are really after on a regular basis."
