Football News
Alan Irvine is expected to announce his departure from Everton in the next 24 hours to take over as the new manager of Preston.

The Merseysiders on Monday night gave the Championship club permission to talk to their assistant manager and boss David Moyes has already started the search for a new number two.

Irvine, the 49-year-old Scot, will now be unveiled as the successor to Paul Simpson, who was sacked earlier this month, at the club Moyes used to manage.
