Derby´s Scottish international defender Jay McEveley has warned Italy their arrogance will be knocked out of them early in Saturday´s crunch Euro 2008 qualifier at Hampden.

The World Cup holders arrive in Scotland this week to prepare for the Group B match in which they realistically need only a point to qualify for next summer´s finals.

McEveley said: "You have to knock the arrogance out of the Italians early doors. You need to get in their faces right from the kick-off and show them it´s not going to be an easy ride."
