Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has ruled out the possibility of returning as coach of the Republic of Ireland.

Caretaker-coach Don Givens this week described McCarthy as "the ideal candidate" following the Football Association of Ireland´s recent decision to sack Steve Staunton.
