Frank Barlow believes Wigan have enough good players to stay in the Barclays Premier League.

Barlow, 61, who will take charge of the team for the first time on Sunday against Tottenham in his role as caretaker manager, is adamant the new manager "will be encouraged" by the state of the club.

He said: "The person who comes in will be encouraged by the club. It is really healthy. The squad here is good enough to stay in the league. I know they will give it everything they have got."
