Norwich have appointed Glenn Roeder as their new manager, signing the former Newcastle and West Ham boss to a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Roeder, 51, takes over from Peter Grant, who parted company with the Coca-Cola Championship strugglers on October 9 following a wretched run of results.

Chairman Roger Munby told the club´s official website, "After a lengthy and diligent search I´m more than delighted to confirm Glenn Roeder is the board´s unanimous choice as the next Norwich City manager."
