Don Givens believes Darren Randolph can be the next great Irish goalkeeper - but is worried he may lose the Charlton player for Tuesday´s Under-21 European Championship clash with England.

Randolph, 20, was in inspirational form as Ireland beat Sweden 3-2 in a thrilling friendly encounter in Uppsala on Friday night, but the Wicklow-born keeper suffered a chest injury in the clash and is a doubt for the Turner´s Cross clash with England.

"Darren suffered a knock and is struggling with a crack on the chest. He´ll be x-rayed in Cork when we arrive there later on Saturday," said Givens. "I feel he has the potential to be the best Irish goalkeeper we´ve seen in years. He just needs to get a break at Charlton and hold down that spot."
