Portsmouth defender Sol Campbell has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

Campbell´s contract was due to expire at the end of the season but the 32-year-old has signed a deal which will keep him at Fratton Park until the end of the 2008-09 season.

Campbell, who was recently recalled to the England squad before injury ruled him out of Steve McClaren´s plans, told the club´s official website: "I´m delighted to have signed a new contract. It´s dragged on a bit but everything´s been resolved."
