Ben Burgess netted in the eighth minute of injury-time to give Blackpool a 2-1 Coca-Cola Championship win over his former club Hull - but the win was overshadowed by a serious injury to Hull´s £1million debutant Caleb Folan.

Folan was taken to hospital after being involved in a sickening clash of heads with Blackpool defender Kaspars Gorkss, with the Latvian also forced off with blood pouring from a cut in his head.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher had put the home side in front just a minute into the second half after an error from Andy Dawson, but Ian Ashbee´s smart finish levelled matters just three minutes later, only for Burgess to win it late on.
