Terry urges support for Lampard

Football News
John Terry fears Frank Lampard was made the scapegoat for England´s moderate performances last season - and is urging the ´boo boys´ to lay off his Chelsea and international team-mate.

Lampard was targeted by a section of fans before and during the June friendly against Brazil at the new Wembley and could confront them again in Wednesday night´s friendly international with Germany at the same venue.

Terry said: "I was really surprised at what happened with Frank. It has happened once before. I don´t condone it and I certainly don´t want the fans to do it again. Unfortunately Frank was targeted - but he has been brilliant for England and Chelsea, and I would ask the fans to get behind every single one of us."
