Jol to play for

Football News
Martin Jol´s grip on his position as Tottenham boss continued to look fragile on Tuesday, with some bookmakers refusing to take bets on him being the first Premier League casualty of the season.

The Dutchman has led Spurs to consecutive fifth-placed finishes but has been under severe scrutiny after losing the first two games of the season, to Sunderland and Everton.

Thrashing Derby over the weekend was meant to ease the pressure but a meeting between Spurs officials and Sevilla boss Juande Ramos reported in Spain led to the spotlight remaining on Jol and his relationship with the board.
