Arsenal have been drawn to play last season's runners-up Bayern Munich in this year's Champions League last-16, while Manchester United face a tantalising two-legged encounter against Real Madrid.

Jose Mourinho has won six and lost just two of 14 previous games against the Red Devils in all competitions in a match that will also see Cristiano Ronaldo return to Old Trafford for the first time since leaving the club for Spain in 2009.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich have won four of their last five two-legged European ties against English teams, including one against Arsenal, which will concern Arsene Wenger and Gunners fans alike.

The only other British side Celtic go into a clash with Serie A champions Juventus, having won both of their previous European Cup home games against them, scoring five goals in the process.

Barcelona travel to Italy in the first leg to play AC Milan, in what will be the fifth and sixth time the two sides have played each other over the past two seasons.

Galatasaray will play Bundesliga side Schalke, and Shakhtar Donetsk take on German champions Borussia Dortmund for a place in the quarter-finals.

The other two fixtures see FC Porto host Malaga in the first-leg, and Valencia take on Paris Saint Germain.

Games will take place on either February 12-13 or 19-20, with the return legs played on March 5-6 or 12-13.
