Tottenham are set to reignite their interest in Arsenal transfer target Yann M’villa, according to Mercato365.

According to the Italian website, Spurs value M’Vila at around £8 million and will try to land their man in the January transfer window.

Mercato 365 also claim Arsenal had representatives present to watch M’vila in action against Valenciennes with a view of reigniting their own interest in him

Spurs were linked with M’vila over the summer while Arsenal have a long-standing interest in the troublesome midfielder, who is currently banned from playing for France until 2014.

His club Rennes had consigned themselves to losing the 22-year-old over the summer, however he was unable to secure a move away before the summer window snapped shut.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas insisted today that he did not intend to be active in the January transfer window, while he also appears well stocked in M’vila’s defensive midfield position, with Scott Parker making his return to action against Swansea last week.
