Arsene Wenger believes Sir Alex Ferguson should have been punished following his Boxing Day confrontation with referee Mike Dean.

The Manchester United manager was furious with Dean after he overruled his linesman to allow Newcastle's contentious second goal to stand.

Wenger, meanwhile, has refused to comment on Arsenal's supposed interest in Barcelona striker David Villa.
