Blades want Beattie

Sheffield United boss Bryan Robson has confirmed he is interested in signing Everton forward James Beattie.

The Blades, preparing for their return to the Coca-Cola Championship, have been linked with the former Southampton player recently.

And according to the club´s website Robson - who is also interested in Sydney´s Australian midfielder David Carney - has confirmed a £4million bid has been made for striker Beattie.
