Strikers Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov found the net as Tottenham defeated Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 in their opening Vodacom Challenge match in Durban, South Africa.

New signing Younes Kaboul had already left the field injured before Keane´s flicked finish over the goalkeeper from close range gave Spurs the lead with five minutes of the first half remaining.

The Chiefs responded soon after the interval when former Charlton striker Shaun Bartlett headed home well, but Bulgarian Berbatov made sure of the win just after the hour mark thanks to good work from new strike partner Darren Bent.
