Striker DJ Campbell insists Birmingham´s players will remain focused on their own jobs amid speculation that a takeover of the midlands club is imminent.

A mystery Far East businessman is leading the battle to take control at St Andrews if David Sullivan and David and Ralph Gold decide to sell up after 14 years at the helm. His representatives have already inspected the club´s finances and facilities before a decision is made on whether to make a formal offer in the region of £50million.

But Campbell said: "In my eyes it [the takeover] doesn´t have anything to do with the players. Of course, we will be interested to see what is going on and will be watching. But we just have to keep doing our jobs as well as we possibly can."
