Sheffield United plc chairman Kevin McCabe insists he has been informed by a high-level Premier League official that the Blades will be restored to the top flight if they win their arbitration hearing in two weeks´ time.

McCabe is refusing to give up the fight over his conviction that West Ham should have been docked points over the Carlos Tevez affair and expects an independent panel to find in his club´s favour.

McCabe told BBC Radio Five Live´s Sportsweek: "I firmly believe Sheffield United will win and the previous decision will be overturned for reasons of an irrational decision that was made by the first panel."
