Irish job for Worthington

Nigel Worthington has been appointed Northern Ireland manager until the end of their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign.

Former Norwich and Blackpool boss Worthington will take over with immediate effect, succeeding Lawrie Sanchez.

Worthington, who won 66 caps as a player for Northern Ireland, will be unveiled at a press conference this afternoon.
