Harry Redknapp will turn to Portsmouth owner Alexandre Gaydamak for more transfer funds ahead of what he expects to be "the toughest Premier League ever".

After committing a reported £7million to make Ghana ace Sulley Muntari the club´s new record signing, manager Redknapp admits he is banking on Fratton Park supremo Gaydamak to keep spending this summer.

"Next season, I believe, it is going to be one hell of a league - probably the toughest Premier League ever," said Redknapp. "Everybody will be having a go. I can look at five, six, seven teams who finished below us and know we have to graft like mad to keep it that way next season."
