Bellamy saves Wales

Football News
Craig Bellamy wiped away some of the misery suffered in the Champions League final by grabbing two priceless goals to spare Wales´ blushes in their 2-2 friendly draw against New Zealand.

The more modest surroundings of Wrexham saw Bellamy take the chance to get rid of some of his pent-up frustration having watched AC Milan win their seventh European Cup. For Wales, though, this was a disappointing performance as they head towards next Saturday´s make-or-break Euro 2008 qualifier against the Czech Republic in Cardiff.

Bellamy needed to score two equalisers, the second a real cracker, after New Zealand had twice gone ahead through Shane Smeltz in the opening half.
