Newcastle appoint Allardyce

Newcastle have appointed Sam Allardyce as their new manager on a three-year contract.

The 52-year-old will be unveiled as Glenn Roeder´s successor at a press conference at 1pm.

Allardyce flew in by helicopter on Tuesday morning after attending the League Managers´ Association dinner in Nottingham on Monday night
