Blackpool winger Tom Ince is trying to push through a move to Liverpool before this weekend’s FA Cup third round ties, according to reports.

The Daily Mirror claims the England U21 international is eager to return to Anfield, and wants to complete a move ahead of the Tangerines’ clash away to Fulham on Saturday.

The paper goes on to report that Ince is working with his father in discussions with Michael Appleton, with the pair eager to keep the deal alive after issues with regards to a 10 per cent sell-on fee as part of the agreement.

Ince originally joined Liverpool as a youth team player in 2008, and was promoted to the first-team squad at the start of the 2010 season.

However, senior opportunities were hard to come by on Merseyside, and after making his debut against Northampton Town in the League Cup, the player left for Notts County on loan and then Blackpool on a permanent deal.

But, after impressing at Bloomfield Road during his year-and-a-half in the Npower Championship, Liverpool want the player back, with the paper reporting that Brendan Rodgers could make an improved offer after lodging an initial £5 million bid.
