Barcelona star: Neymar deserves Camp Nou move

Barcelona forward Pedro believes Neymar deserves a transfer to the 'best team in the world', although the Camp Nou star is unsure how the young Brazilian will fit into Tito Vilanova's team.

Neymar has been linked with transfers to Chelsea and Manchester United, but a move to Barcelona has always appeared most likely for the Santos star.

Previous reports have claimed Barcelona have beaten Chelsea and Manchester United to the signature of Neymar, although Barca and Santos have both since denied this is the case.

Pedro has no doubt that Neymar has the qualities to excel as a Barcelona player, although has questioned where the 20-year-old would be used in a side already boasting stars such as Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta.

"We know he can play here. But you never know if he can fit with the team," Pedro said, as reported by AS.

"What is known is that he is one of the best in the world and deserves to play in the best team in the world."

Last week, Neymar's father said the Brazil international would favour a switch to Barcelona over a move to Chelsea, Manchester United - or even Real Madrid - but is willing to wait until after the World Cup in 2014.

Manchester United were linked with a summer transfer deadline day bid for Neymar, while Chelsea star Oscar has urged his compatriot to join the Brazilian contingent at Stamford Bridge.
