Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini says his altercation with striker Mario Balotelli has been blown out of proportion.

Mancini added that is not interested in selling Balotelli, but has warned the 22-year-old he must change his attitude.

Chelsea have completed the signing of Newcastle striker Demba Ba for an undisclosed fee.

Ba joins the Blues following the sale of Daniel Sturridge to Liverpool, and will provide competition for Fernando Torres.

West Ham are reported to have agreed to take Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Morocco international has just eight Premier League goals for the Gunners in 40 appearances, but the Hammers are short of options up front.

Arsenal, meanwhile, could be set to replace Chamakh with Atletico Madrid striker Adrian Lopez.

The Gunners are reportedly preparing a second bid for the Spain international.

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway admits he would be powerless to prevent Wilfried Zaha from joining Manchester United.

The Old Trafford club are favourites to sign the England starlet, who is also a target for Arsenal.

Tottenham assistant manager Steffen Freund is hopeful Emmanuel Adebayor will decide against playing in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Freund does, however, believe Spurs have the firepower to cope without the Togo international.
