Chelsea and Manchester City target Radamel Falcao has hinted he may snub a move to the Premier League in favour of Serie A.

A report in The Independent claims the Blues have been considering a move for the Atletico Madrid striker and could well move for him next summer, though it also claims Roberto Mancini and Jose Mourinho have taken special interest in his current situation.

Falcao has been in sublime form for some time now, having continued his goalscoring exploits with Porto after his move to La Liga.

Roman Abramovich has been reported as the main mover for Falcao’s signature alongside the Etihad Stadium club, but any plans to recruit him may be in danger after the striker’s latest admission.

“I cannot rule out a future in Italy. Juve or Milan? I have a favourite club, but I prefer not to say," he says in the Independent story.

Financial struggles currently being felt in Italian football may make a move to either club unlikely with two of the world’s richest clubs sniffing around him.

Falcao has already struck 17 times already in La Liga this season and is second only to Lionel Messi, whom has an incredible 27 in total.
