Real Madrid took a big step towards the semi-final of the Copa Del Rey last night, as Karim Benzema and an Andres Guardado own goal gave Jose Mourinho's side a 2-0 advantage heading into the second leg.
The La Liga champions set aside their struggling league form to outmuscle a gifted Valencia side, but the game was equally as notable for a couple of glaring misses from a couple of players you would expect better.
Cristiano Ronaldo, on his return from suspension, did not get on the scoresheet, squandering a glorious chance when set through one-on-one effort after a shocking defensive mistake. We'll forgive him, he does score more than his fair share for Madrid after all.
Still, Jose Mourinho could not believe it, and neither could the Bernabeu faithful. But Madrid were already 2-0 up and cruising at that stage, although Valencia had a fantastic chance to level the score in the 65th minute.
Brazilian striker Jonas, reportedly a one-time transfer target for Tottenham, side-footed wide after Iker Casillas parried a Roberto Soldado shot into his path.
Watch both misses here, and make sure you watch until the end of the Ronaldo video - Mourinho's reaction is priceless...
Elsewhere last night, Brandao had a game to forget as the St Etienne striker was guilty of two easy misses in one game. Lille were the fortunate opponent, and Brandao was left red-faced after he was hauled off late on.
Watch below, and decide for yourself - which was the worst miss, Ronaldo, Jonas or one of Brandao's?...
