AC Milan want Jose Mourinho

AC Mlian reportedly hope to beat Jose Mourinho's Premier League suitors to the signature of the Real Madrid manager, who appears set to leave the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.

Real Madrid are 18 points behind Barcelona in the race to be crowned La Liga champions, and Mourinho has frequently been linked with a summer departure from the club.

According to The Sun, AC Milan are planning to hijack a potential return to the Premier League for the former Chelsea boss, who could reportedly move back to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are likely to be looking for a new manager in the summer with Rafael Benitez only in interim charge, and have also been linked with a swoop for Pep Guardiola.

Mourinho, meanwhile, is familiar with the San Siro having been a huge success as manager of Inter Milan - where he won the Champions League - which could perhaps deter the Portuguese from joining AC Milan.

But Mourinho is reportedly the top target for AC Mlian president Silvio Berlusconi, with current boss Max Allegri expected to be replaced at the end of the season.
