Real Madrid midfielder Kaka could still reportedly rejoin AC Milan during the January transfer window, despite Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani stating on Monday that negotiations between the two clubs had broken down.

According to, a 24-month free loan agreement had been struck between Real Madrid and AC Milan, but the Spanish club have since demanded a fee of €7 million to cover tax payments.

It is claimed, however, that Real Madrid and AC Milan continue to talk over a proposed deal for Kaka, who left the San Siro for the Santigao Bernabeu in the summer transfer window of 2009.

Kaka arrived at Real Madrid from AC Milan for a fee of €68.5 million having won both the Ballon d'Or and the FIFA World Player of the Year during his time with the Italian giants.

However, things have not gone to plan for the 30-year-old during his time with Real Madrid, with injury restricting Kaka to only 32 league starts for Los Blancos.

With the likes of Mesut Ozil and Luka Modric now providing competition for the Brazil international at Real Madrid the club appear willing to let him leave, and an emotional return to Milan would surely be one that would appeal to Kaka.
