Chelsea predicted line-up v Swansea City

Chelsea interim manager Rafa Benitez needs a big performance from his players following the shock 2-0 defeat in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final against Swansea City at Stamford Bridge.

That result means there is little opportunity for the Spaniard to rest players, and Petr Cech will expect to get the call ahead of Ross Turnbull for the Blues.

In defence, Cesar Azpilicueta has made the right back position his own, whilst Ashley Cole can celebrate his new Chelsea contract with a start on the left.

John Terry should return to the starting line-up, with Gary Cahill or Branislav Ivanovic his partner after David Luiz picked up a knock at the weekend.

Frank Lampard’s recent performances mean Chelsea can’t afford to drop the veteran, whilst Ramires was inspired against Arsenal and should keep his position.

With the Blues needing goals, the attacking forward three of Oscar, Juan Mata and Eden Hazard almost picks itself, with striker Demba Ba likely to get the nod ahead of Fernando Torres after impressing off the bench for Chelsea on Sunday.

Chelsea predicted line-up v Swansea City:

Petr Cech; Cesar Azpilicueta, John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic, Ashley Cole; Frank Lampard, Ramires; Oscar, Juan Mata, Eden Hazard; Demba Ba.
