Arsenal and Liverpool target Mamadou Sakho has hinted that he will look to secure a move away from Paris Saint-Germain when the transfer window re-opens this summer, reports Sky Sports.

The 22-year-old defender has fallen down the pecking order at Parc des Princes this season, with Carlo Ancelotti opting instead to play Brazilian duo Thiago Silva and Alex at the heart of PSG's defence.

Sakho has been left frustrated at his lack of first-team action, and is ready to leave the Ligue 1 leaders in pursuit of regular football.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been credited with an interest in bringing the France international to the Emirates Stadium in the past, and will likely be monitoring Sakho's situation closely between now and the end of the 2012/13 campaign.

Liverpool have also been linked with the player, as Brendan Rodgers looks to strengthen his defensive ranks at Anfield, with Reds veteran Jamie Carragher entering the twilight of his career.

Sakho has made clear his desire to make the plane for France at the 2014 World Cup, and knows that he needs to be playing in order to realise that ambition.

"I will do everything to play at the 2014 World Cup, but I need to be playing week in, week out," he said. "I cannot accept playing just a few minutes this season and next because this is a decisive moment in my career.

"At the end of the season I will sit down with my agent and club officials and clear up the situation. If I have to leave PSG to keep my place in the France national team, then I have no choice but to leave."

Asked whether he would be interested in a move to England, Sakho added: "I adore the English Premier League."
