Manchester United interest confirmed in Juventus striker

The agent of Montenegro striker Mirko Vucinic has claimed that Manchester United are keen on the player.

Sir Alex Ferguson 'was said to be interested' in bringing the Juventus star to Old Trafford in the past, according to Sky Sports, and the impending arrival of Fernando Llorente in Turin has placed further doubts over the future of the 29-year-old.

Alessandro Lucci seems far from concerned with the situation however, and insists that despite the speculation, there is no problem with new players arriving at the Juventus Stadium.

"It is not up to me to say, but Manchester United is a club of world level, as well as Juventus. So it is normal that this kind of teams follow Mirko,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.

"Do we have problems with the arrival of some top players at Juve? Absolutely not, it would only be a good thing for him.

"The coach Antionio Conte considers Vucinic a key player for his way of playing. He scores and creates assist for his team-mates."

Manchester United aren’t short of options in attack this season, with Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck all vying for first team opportunities.

And, if Vucinic were to join the Red Devils, then logic would suggest that one of the aforementioned front-four may have to leave Old Trafford in order to make space for the former Roma star.

Who Ferguson would sacrifice is up for debate, but with Manchester United scoring so freely in the Premier League this season, the Scot is unlikely to change his winning formula.
