Brazil superstar Neymar has revealed he would be open to playing under former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola is set to take over at the Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich next summer and Neymar was full of praise for the club, claiming he could see himself playing for them in the future.
However, any move for Neymar will likely have to wait until after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil as he insisted he has no desire to leave his club Santos until then, though admitted a liking for Bayern once he does.
“Bayern are a big club with extraordinary players; playing for Bayern is something I could imagine doing,” Neymar is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
The new talisman of the Brazil team has been heavily linked with a move to Spain and Camp Nou, but he denied that he was only looking there for the potential move.
Neymar did admit it was his dream to play in Europe one day, following in the footsteps like many of the great Brazilian names before him.
“I dreamed to play in Europe since I was a child, but it is important I feel good and adapt with the rest of the team [in Brazil],” he added.
“[The transfer] doesn’t have to be Spain necessarily.”
However, English fans were not treated to one of his better performances in the Seleçao’s 2-1 defeat at the hands of England on Wednesday.
