Manchester United, Bayern Munich and AC Milan are all chasing highly-rated Porto starlet Eliaquim Mangala, according to his agent, Fabrizio Ferrari.

TalkSPORT reports how the 22-year-old defender has attracted attention from a host of top European clubs, after a series of scintillating performances in Portugal this season.

Mangala arrived at Estadio do Dragao in a £5.7million deal from Standard Liege in 2011, and has seen his burgeoning reputation continue to grow during the past 18 months with the reigning Primeira Liga champions.

Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been credited with an interest in bringing the France U21 international to Old Trafford, as he continues his search for defensive reinforcements at centre-back.

However, Manchester United will face competition for Mangala's signature, after the player's representative revealed that he has been approached by a number of different Champions League suitors.

"Manchester United aren't the only club interested in his services," Ferrari told Antena 1. "Bayern Munich, Milan and other clubs want a great player like Mangala.

"He is doing a great job at Porto and shown he was a great investment for Porto."

Porto have made a habit of unearthing gems in recent years, with Radamel Falcao, Lisandro Lopez and Hulk all making their names in Portugal, and Mangala now looks set to become the latest star to move on to bigger and better things.
