Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists that their season is not over yet, despite being knocked out of the FA Cup on Saturday to Championship side, Blackburn Rovers.
The Gunners haven't won a trophy since their FA Cup success back in 2005, and after crashing out of the FA Cup in surprising fashion on Saturday, the Gunners are left fighting for the Champions League title, where they must conquer Bayern Munich in the last-16 if they are to progress.
Despite another trophy-less season beckoning, the French manager insists that Arsenal's season is not over.
"It is very painful to lose a game like that," said Wenger. "What is important is to focus on the next one.
"The season is not over. For you maybe, not for me."
Wenger insists that his side will dust themselves down and go again ahead of Tuesday's Champions League encounter with Bayern, and is confident that he'll get a positive response following their FA Cup humbling.
Wenger, 63, added: "If we feel sorry for ourselves we would be completely wrong. We have a massive game on Tuesday night and we have to show that we have some response in the team."
Wenger has now seen his team crash out of both domestic cup competitions to lower league opposition, with Arsenal's trophy-less run set to extend to eight seasons, as they sit 21 points behind league leaders Manchester United and are considered long shots for the Champions League.
But Wenger insists that he is not worried about Arsenal's lack of silverware.
"We have just lost a game today and we don't need to think too much about the eight seasons," he told BBC Radio 5 live.
"The players who played today didn't play eight seasons ago and we must focus on the next game."
